Expedia.com could be considered the jack-of-all-trades of the travel industry; this service provides broad information about all kinds of travel. As far as Caribbean cruises are concerned, Expedia.com has some basic information on cruising and an average booking system.

If you're a veteran sailor of the seas or don't need detailed destination and travel information, this site may be for you.

Ease of Use:  

It doesn't take a computer wiz to navigate Exepedia.com; even if you're a beginner you'll sail through the site and discover several enticing cruises.

When it comes time to book your vacation, the information fields are clear and easy to fill out.

Feature Set:  

Expedia.com offers all of the basic features you'll need to book a wonderful cruise, such as useful articles, a wide variety of pictures and travel insurance information. But the website lacks some perks, like virtual tours, low price guarantee and cruise price protection.

Search Capabilities:  

Expedia.com can search for the most common cruise factors, such as cruise duration, date, departure port, star rating and ship name. Another convenient feature-you can check if you qualify for previous cruiser discounts or senior rates as you search for cruise packages.

Ease of Booking:  

The booking process at Expedia.com required too many complex steps, some inconvenient. For example, during booking we were asked to fill out registration information. Also, certain cruises require you to call customer service before proceeding with booking. Expedia was one of few cruise services where we encountered these delays.

Despite the inconveniences, the booking process does offer some easy-to-access information. There are links to itinerary maps, ports of call, facts and ship information-all available without clicking through many pages.

Expedia.com offers email support, a FAQs page and a toll-free number. The service department is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Expedia.com is one of the most frequented travel sites in the industry and that's understandable-this service offers travel information on every type of travel imaginable (except for space travel-contact NASA). Though we feel other sites offer more details on ports of call and streamlined booking, Expedia.com is a quality service for planning your next getaway.
